This would involve organising and taking full responsibility and accountability for the daily management of the two services. It would also include managing a wide range of complex and sometimes conflicting priorities including staff management. Perform 75% of rostered shifts clinically in all areas of endoscopy which includes shift coordination, pre-assessment, procedure room, recovery and admission. To oversee the delivery of specialist endoscopy services to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures which includes -colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, gastroscopy, EUS with FNA/FNB, EMR, ESD, ERCP, cystoscopy and other major endoscopy interventions. Ensure that practice within endoscopy is aligned and/or up to date with Trust policies including practice guidance from the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) and the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) in gastrointestinal endoscopy.
