Find your future
Are you an RVN looking for a new year change? We have an opening for a qualified Vet Nurse to join our exceptional nursing team due to one of the nurses taking a career change. Our nurses are very hands-on clinically; they do everything from monitoring anaesthesia, nursing inpatients, taking blood samples, and taking X-Rays. They run their own nurse clinics such as nutrition, diabetes, and wellness clinics. Let’s be honest, they pretty much run the practice! Even our Practice Director is an RVN. We couldn't manage without our nursing team; they are important to us, and it is essential that they get to be nurses and feel heard clinically within the team. We have regular clinical meetings and make decisions together as a team.
What you’ll be stepping into
The vacancy is full-time, 35-40 hours per week; however, we are happy to discuss part-time opportunities. Hours are flexible with a share in the weekend rota (1 in 7) and evenings.
We are a team of 11 vets, 8 RVNs, 1 SVN, and 2 animal care assistants, along with 12 receptionists across 3 sites in Ayrshire - Saltcoats, Largs, and Dundonald. Our management team consists of a Vet Clinical Director, RVN Practice Director, RVN Practice Manager, and Head RVN. We are a young, forward-thinking team who loves to progress and improve the services we can offer to our clients.
We have all the toys: a cat consult room, a staff wellbeing room, and patient care is everyone's priority; however, our best asset is our team. We encourage any applicants to come and spend some time with us to see how we work and would be happy to have an informal chat.
