Chubb Fire & Security Limited | Senior Quantity Surveyor
Chubb Systems now has an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor working out of either Blackburn. The main goal of this role is to manage the commercial aspects of a portfolio of design and build projects of a gross value of circa £0.5 million to £10 million.

This is a hybrid role, working from various locations, including home, Blackburn or Bridgend office and nationwide project sites. The role is likely to require stays overnight close to site locations. The candidate will be of a strong and tenacious personality with a strong technical background, a team player but with an ability to work individually as appropriate, and will be target and result focused.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Administration of the Main Contract(s) including assisting with Project Control information, Change Management and Cash collection
* Administration of the Subcontract Agreements holistically under the portfolio, including execution of the project subcontract strategy
* Provide advisory service regarding various standard forms of agreement (including FIDIC, JCT, NEC, ICE, etc.), ensuring best practices are adopted and implemented throughout the project life span
* Assist in development and responsibility for procurement and negotiation of all Subcontracts
Project Management
* Working with the Project Manager to identify early warnings within the Subcontract environment
* Assisting in the administration of Instructions and the like.
* Assisting with preparation of accurate project control information to evaluate progress against the agreed construction programme(s).
Compliance
* Manage the team's ethics, quality and EH&S requirements, ensuring that all team members are aware of their obligations
* Ensure that the team maintains a safe working environment both on site & off site
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge:
* Of graduate calibre with experience in business processes with a "hands-on" approach, sharing and enacting best practice
* Experience of Quantifying works in accordance with Standard Measurement Rules
* Experience in the Administration of Contracts in both Client and Subcontract
* Experience in influencing and management of confrontational and difficult situations in a professional manner
