The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) will be responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of the Company’s risk function, including management framework and ensuring the identification, mitigation, and monitoring of risks across all global entities. The CRO will play a critical role in protecting the Company's assets, reputation, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with other senior stakeholders, the Board of Directors, and regulatory bodies. Responsibilities: End-to-end oversight across all key business risks, including credit, operational, non-financial, liquidity, market, conduct and other emerging risk areas. Deliver a 24-hour service to monitor market conditions and risks, and support the business in its operation of a robust and resilient trading platform for its clients. Support the firm's executive team with managing, mitigating and monitoring the group's risks and develop policies and procedures to achieve the executive team's objectives. Provide independent advice and guidance on the level of risk/return in the business and whether this is appropriate with the agreed level of risk appetite. Continuously develop the risk control mechanisms and key risk indicators. Monitor movements and assess unforeseeable events and risks. Carry out an analysis of risk data/information for possible impacts. Regular reporting of predictable risks and managing costs associated with risks, and allocation of resources. Engage with Dealing to control financial risks and manage client exposure and hedging strategies effectively. Assist with the firm's global expansion, including the development of local business and risk controls. Assist with analysis of client behaviour and build models to identify trends and large exposures. Drive understanding of the design and utilization of methodologies to assess risk/reward of the business, including VaR back-testing, stress testing, capital planning, scenario analysis, liquidity analysis. Define and oversee reporting structures for the escalation of potential issues and solutions. Contribute to management and external reporting, regulatory capital calculations and modelling, and provide necessary guidance to other stakeholders. Collaborate closely with second line of defense partners, including Legal, Compliance, Dealing, Finance, operational/credit/other second line risk teams for managing our risk footprint. Support regulatory objectives as required, including keeping up to date with various applicable regulations, reporting and other regulatory interactions. Ad-hoc issue management and project work as appropriate Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM are highly desirable Experience in risk management within the financial services industry in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management frameworks in a global, regulated environment. Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the fintech and financial services sectors. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex risk concepts into actionable strategies. Excellent leadership and team management skills with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
