(Appointment beyond salary point £45, will be dependent on the post holder having full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our organisation which is based in Dalziel Building, Motherwell. This role offers the option of hybrid working in line with the requirements of the service. The company owns a large and varied commercial portfolio of properties producing a rent roll of approximately £6 million per annum.
You will assist in the provision of a full range of property management services, including the letting and strategic management of the North Lanarkshire Properties LLP’s property portfolio and provide client advice to North Lanarkshire Council. You will also manage lease negotiations, including rent reviews and lease renewals, assignations, wayleaves and servitudes, debt management, repairs and maintenance and all other aspects of lease compliance in the provision of a co-ordinated property service.
You must have an degree level qualification, or equivalent, in a property related subject and have considerable experience in the measurement and survey, and valuation of commercial properties, and have experience of negotiating with landlords, tenants and/or members of the public. You must also possess experience working in a valuation and or property portfolio management role and understand the Health and Safety issues associated with this role.
You will possess excellent computer and digital skills with experience using Microsoft office packages, and other digital tools and platforms. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have the ability to work to performance standards and deadlines and be able to work on your own or in a team using your own initiative.
Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors would be advantageous as would an understanding of landlord and tenant issues, development and marketing initiatives and previous portfolio management experience for corporate or public sector clients.
You must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and surrounding areas to undertake the duties of this post.
