Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Information & Digital Services (IDS) department. As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of the global operations team managing TechnipFMC’s data centers and servers, including support for virtualization environments, physical & virtual servers, operating systems, storage, backup & restore, cloud operations, and more.
The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to meet customer expectations on time and with quality, solve complex IT issues, and produce technical documentation. Experience in coaching and mentoring peers is desirable.
Job Responsibilities
* Maintain, monitor, and support infrastructure environments such as data centers, physical and virtual servers (VMware, Hyper-V, AOS), Windows and Linux servers, storage solutions (NetApp, DellEMC), backup & restore systems (Veeam), virtualization platforms (VMware Horizon, Citrix), and cloud services (Azure, AWS).
* Work on cross-functional initiatives and projects.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
* Ensure high-quality IT service delivery through testing, quality assurance, and documentation.
* Participate in budgeting and cost/benefit analyses for the Data Center Manager.
* Manage IT projects as needed.
* Follow change management processes, including change requests and impact assessments.
* Develop and maintain processes, procedures, standards, and documentation for server and storage operations.
* Manage third-party services aligned with business needs.
* Provide guidance on IT security, including patching, updates, and malware prevention.
* Develop and support security processes.
* Ensure proper backup and recovery procedures for disaster recovery plans.
* Maintain a secure, stable, and auditable server environment.
* Ensure software compliance and develop technical roadmaps for server and storage infrastructure.
* Plan capacity and resources for regional and global systems, including upgrades, tuning, and patches.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related IT field.
* Technical certifications from vendors such as VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, Nutanix, NetApp, Veeam, Citrix are desirable.
* Relevant experience in data center and server operations.
* Fluent in English.
* Highly organized with attention to detail.
* Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
