They are seeking a passionate and motivated IT Apprentice to join their dynamic service desk team. In this role you will work towards your IT Support Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
Assist with security processes, including password resets, implementing group policies, multi-factor authentication, and email security.
Reference and utilise technical documentation (e.g., network diagrams, technical specifications) to support client needs.
Work with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) using the ticketing system (Autotask) to manage requests and escalations.
Provide support via email, phone, Teams, and ticketing systems.
Troubleshoot using a wide range of tools, such as Logic Monitor, Microsoft Azure, Command Prompt, Google and ChatGPT.
Gain experience with hardware management, including RAM updates, printer configuration, and firewall & switch configuration.
Assist with software updates, including patches, service packs, and driver updates for both server OS and desktop management.
Work regularly with network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and patch management.
Engage with cloud technologies like Microsoft 365, Azure, Google, and, PowerShell, command line) to automate tasks and system updates.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic Team
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
Salary: £14,000 - £16,000
Holiday Entitlement: 23 days + Bank Holidays + Birthday off
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with two alternating shift patterns (Monday to Friday) (Shift 1: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) (Shift 2: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Offered a full time role depending on successful completion of the apprenticeship
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
A passion for technology and computing, with experience as a tech hobbyist.
Confidence in communication with clients and team members.
Strong people skills and a desire to help others solve technical issues.
GCSE Maths (4/C) English (5/C) is essential
Your Training with Baltic:
You will be enrolled in a Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, providing you with formal qualifications and practical skills. You'll also have access to one-to-one mentoring sessions with senior team members and on-the-job training that aligns with your career goals.
Beyond the fundamental apprenticeship modules, you'll delve into two Be-Spoke modules and one advanced Expert module. This personalised approach will hone your abilities and deepen your expertise, positioning you as a true leader in your field. The Be-Spoke and Expert modules you will complete are:
Confident Communication: Enhance communication through self-awareness, body language, voice control, and digital skills.
Troubleshoot Microsoft Teams: Identify common Teams problems & explain how to approach the resolution process with Microsoft Teams.
MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals:Demonstrate foundational-level knowledge of cloud-based solutions to facilitate productivity, compliance and collaboration among on-site, remote, and hybrid workers.
