We are looking for a skilled User Researcher to join a leading digital consultancy and play a key role in high-impact public sector projects. This position demands a strong grasp of user-centred design and Government Digital Service (GDS) principles.
About the Role
As a User Researcher, you will be embedded within agile teams, driving the design and implementation of user-centric services that align with GDS standards. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, facilitate research activities, and apply various methodologies to provide actionable insights that support digital transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct user research activities, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and workshops.
* Analyse findings to create user journey maps, personas, and recommendations for service improvements.
* Work closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure user needs shape service design.
* Produce research outputs that align with GDS assessment requirements.
* Contribute to user-centred strategies and support agile teams in delivering high-quality solutions.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on user research experience, preferably within public sector projects.
* GDS Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of GDS principles and their application in service design.
* Research & Analysis: Proficiency in developing user journey maps, process maps, and deriving meaningful insights.
* Collaboration & Communication: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to present research findings effectively.
* Agile Experience: Proven ability to work within agile delivery teams.
