The Outdoors Project run after school clubs, holiday clubs and birthday parties for children aged 5-11, 100% outdoors, all year round. Our mission is to encourage kids to spend quality time outdoors and gain all the benefits from doing so! Fresh air, nature, exercise, developing friendships, engaging in “wild time”, exploring creativity & imagination, learning new skills and above all having lots of FUN!!
We are looking for enthusiastic assistant and lead instructors to join our 2025 club team to bring to life The Outdoors Project ethos. We are looking for people who are fun and engaging to give children and parents confidence that every element of their time with us is being delivered with enthusiasm and care. Assistant roles do not require prior childcare qualifications or experience. If you are approachable and enthusiastic, want to be part of a fun team, are passionate about working with children and have a love for the outdoors then join us! Full training provided.
You will need to hold/pass an enhanced DBS check and complete safeguarding training.
What is ESSENTIAL to this role:
* Happy being outdoors in all weathers! This really can't be overstated - if you're not up for keeping going through the wind and rain, this isn't the job for you! We believe having fun no matter the weather is brilliant for the well being and resilience of the children.
* Able to make the day/session enjoyable for the kids - managing their behaviours and feelings while being enthusiastic and fun.
* Being physically fit and healthy - you will need your stamina, especially for holiday club days!
* Attend regular training, both in person and online.

We are currently looking for assistant and lead instructors for February half term holiday clubs in Royston (17th to 21st Feb).
Job type: Part-time, freelance
Pay: From £12 per hour
Experience:
* Working with or looking after children: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Current enhanced DBS (preferred) or
* Valid ID for DBS application (required)
