Role Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage cost controls, budgets, and the financial planning of our projects, working closely with the commercial team and senior management. You'll have the opportunity to lead on major projects, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the company's continued success by ensuring each development is delivered within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cost Management: Oversee and manage project budgets from inception to completion, ensuring financial targets are met.
2. Procurement and Contract Negotiation: Lead the procurement of subcontractors and materials, negotiating contracts to achieve best value and manage risks.
3. Valuations and Payments: Conduct regular valuations and approve payments for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work meets quality and contractual requirements.
4. Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
5. Risk and Issue Resolution: Identify and proactively manage potential risks to budget or schedule, resolving issues swiftly to keep projects on track.
