The role involves empowering individuals to take charge of their health and wellbeing by identifying and working towards their personal goals. You will support positive outcomes for families through the use of assessment and support planning tools.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in delivering community-focused projects and a solid understanding of the needs of families with young children. The role requires someone who can support a service that fosters empowerment. A key part of the position involves recruiting and training volunteers, requiring experience in delivering various training sessions and effectively managing and valuing volunteers. We are looking for someone who is committed to high standards, has compassion, and models the values of Centre4, while leading a team that encourages collaboration and brings out the best in others.
A strong understanding of safeguarding, and a commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and confidentiality, are essential.
Although we are looking for someone with all the relevant skills, experience, and qualifications, we recognise that these may not be easily accessible in the area. We are committed to recruiting individuals with the right values, attitudes, and drive to improve the lives of children and their families. If you don’t meet all the criteria but are keen to contribute, we’d love to hear from you for a conversation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Team Leader to ensure the 4Families project meets its targets and objectives.
• Manage a caseload of families, conducting referrals, assessments, reviews, and exits, creating action plans to ensure children and their parents receive the support they need.
• Oversee and manage a team of volunteers, matching them with families and supporting their activities.
• Deliver some sessional activities for children and families.
• Support the training and development of volunteers.
• Promote the project to referring agencies, partners, and the wider community to ensure targets are met and raise the profile for potential funding opportunities.
• Collaborate with referral agencies and attend multi-agency meetings to ensure a holistic approach to family support.
• Engage with local forums and networks to promote the project and build partnerships.
• As the Designated Safeguarding Person, ensure safeguarding processes are maintained, and children and families are supported according to Centre4, local, and national guidelines.
• Ensure all activities align with Centre4’s values and meet high standards of practice for all stakeholders.
• Maintain monitoring and reporting processes, ensuring records are updated and compliance is met.
• Collaborate with teams to identify trends, gaps, and inform other projects as necessary.
Additional Duties:
The duties listed above are not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other tasks as requested by your Manager. The organisation reserves the right to amend this job description as necessary to reflect changing demands.
