We enable new opportunities for our customers through digitalisation. Mission & Role Responsible for routine preventative maintenance, electrical installations, and fault finding. Support the objectives of the electrical department and overall business goals. Key Accountabilities Technical Responsibilities Provide expertise on EC&I systems, ensuring plant safety and system availability. Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams for maintenance planning. Support and manage projects to ensure high quality, cost-effectiveness, and service. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (BS7671 & BS6626). Develop and manage the CMMS system for maintenance and operation. Participate in a 24/7 call-out rota. Manage EC&I contract requirements and day-to-day contractors. Oversee plant monitoring and machine protection systems. Diagnose and rectify faults in EC&I systems. Conduct minor installation and phased replacement work. Maintain and update plant control systems. Plan and deliver complex outages. Procure materials and equipment within budget guidelines. Manage inventory of critical spares. Explore energy-saving opportunities to support net-zero goals. Health & Safety Responsibilities Ensure personal and team safety. Report all accidents, near misses, and incidents. Maintain electrical workshop and equipment. Produce risk assessments and method statements. Shut down processes when risks to people, environment, or plant arise. Adjust plant parameters to maintain quality and performance. Communication Responsibilities Internal communication with personnel across departments. External communication with customers, suppliers, and emergency services. Regular interaction with Millers, Engineering, and Shift teams. Meetings & Committees Attend daily, departmental, H&S, and budgetary meetings. Participate in internal and external training sessions. Education & Qualifications Qualified Electrician/Technician (JIB ECS & IET Gold Card or higher). HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (preferred). Knowledge of PLCs, HV switchgear, electrical isolation, and permitting. MEWP & Forklift experience (advantageous). Strong understanding of plant processes, utilities, and safety regulations. Experience with electrical power distribution (110V–11kV). Expertise in control systems (PLCs, relays, industrial communication networks). Professional registration with IET (preferred).
