TheNEMS Data & Performance Lead will provide expert guidance on data analysis,data modelling, and reporting. Supporting our strategic direction to be a datarich organisation, allowing data and information to drive our businessdecisions.
Thepostholder will be an expert in data, analysis & intelligence, and will provideguidance and support to NEMS Senior Leaders and Operational Managers to enableeffective service planning and Improvement. Working with teams across theorganisation, commissioners, and system partners to ensure compliance whileproviding evidence-based insights into the services we deliver will be a corepart of the role.
TheData & Performance Lead will take responsibility for ensuring our contractKPIs are reported on, providing assurance to our commissioners through formalmonthly reports and ad-hoc requests on performance, quality, and capacity. Thiswill involve creating and maintaining dashboards and performance reports forinternal and external consumption.
Thispost includes managing and leading a small data team. Working closely with theteam to understand, document, automate, and streamline business processes usingdata-driven insights, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and ensuringcompliance with NHS regulations.

Overseedata quality checks on source data on a routine basis and ensure data qualityissues are resolved and process/reporting improvements are made.
Supportthe Governance team in achieving compliance with Quality Audit reports.
Collaborationand Management
Linemanagement and leadership of the NEMS Data Team.
Collaboratewith teams across the organisation, commissioners, and system partners toensure compliance and provide data-driven insights.
Communicateeffectively with internal and external stakeholders, including non-technicalaudiences in both written and verbal form.

DataAnalysis:Excellent analytical and numeric skills. Experienced and proficient in dataanalysis tools and techniques.
DataVisualization:Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI to create clear andimpactful reports and dashboards. Experience of summarising and presentingcomplex analyses to varied audiences.
DataGovernance:Understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, security,and compliance in line with NHS guidelines.
DatabaseManagement:Familiarity with database systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle) and datawarehousing concepts, including cloud-based data warehouse & analyticsplatforms such as Snowflake.

Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
* Expert knowledge and experience in the use of data analytical techniques.
* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and associated MS packages
* Knowledge and experience of SQL
* Experience of using Power BI
* Advanced skills analytical & statistical skills.
* A commitment to continued personal development relevant to the role.
* Exposure of working with healthcare systems.
