Join Magna Housing as a Support Advisor and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives In this role, you will have the rewarding opportunity to assist customers in developing their general daily living skills and maintaining their tenancy, by improving their overall wellbeing. By empowering individuals to thrive and remain independent in their homes, you will contribute to creating a safe and secure future for our customers. What you take care of: You will provide help by supporting customers to maximise their income, by providing budgetary advice and assisting with the completion of forms. Work directly with our residents to help them achieve their goals. This will include hands on practical support around; Cleaning, de-cluttering, and additional help to gain education and employment, as well as attending benefit related appointments. The post holder will also need the skills to consult with other agencies, whilst maintaining accurate records. What you need to be successful: You will have experience of working with vulnerable adults with support needs, be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise. Effective communication and decision-making skills are essential, as is a flexible approach to work and excellent ICT and record keeping skills. Ideally you will have experience of multi-agency working and be prepared to undertake training around mental health, hoarding, safeguarding, and providing support with an outcome-based service. You must have a full driving license and the use of a vehicle. This role is subject to an enhanced level DBS check. Applicants with transferrable skills are encouraged to apply.
