The Role This role offers the chance to manage a caseload of conveyancing transactions from inception through to completion, with varying complexity depending on your experience. Key Responsibilities: Managing a caseload of conveyancing, including correspondence, legal drafting, and compliance with CQS. Providing quotes and winning business with prompt, professional, and friendly communication. Ensuring high-quality client care for residential purchases and sales to maintain repeat business. Effectively using the case management system to reduce paper use and speed up processes. Communicating with the Conveyancing Team, support staff, Finance Department, clients, estate agents, and third parties. Verifying client’s identification and raising any potential money laundering concerns. Drafting legal documentation, reporting on title, and preparing for exchange and completion. Supporting marketing activities to develop new clients within financial budgets and timescales. Assisting colleagues with complex cases and working as part of the team. Managing files for both local and national clients, prioritising tasks under supervision. Adhering to the Firm’s financial invoicing policies and developing the department through continuous improvement. Assisting with holiday cover when required. You should be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a busy environment, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a conveyancing fee earner, managing your own caseload. Strong experience with leasehold properties and using case management systems. Proficient in using the Land Registry Portal. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong risk assessment and decision-making abilities. Team player with excellent time management and organisational skills. Commercial awareness and an ability to spot business opportunities. Competent with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, email, and internet. High attention to detail and accuracy in figures. Experience handling Remortgage and Transfer of Equity matters independently is desirable. Familiarity with FormEvo and managing paperless caseloads is desirable.
