Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen in theatre at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a Band 6 Deputy Team Leader within our new Maternity Theatre Team at York Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic practitioner with the appropriate clinical and scrub experience to lead our maternity theatre service. You will work alongside your Band 7 to support our dedicated team and continuously develop our service to provide excellent care for our patients. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a keen interest in improving and developing their leadership skills to enable management of staff, be an effective role model demonstrating high levels of clinical competence & expertise. Have the ability to confidently Coordinate the Multidisciplinary team and be able to confidently handle challenging situations. You will have a minimum of 3 years' Band 5 theatre experience. You should be able to demonstrate involvement in service improvement with some evidence of change management. You will demonstrate skills in self-management including time management, prioritisation and organisational skills. This is a demanding role where you will be expected to exhibit knowledge of how we work towards our Trust's vision and be a real team player. All shifts are, 08.00-21:00 or 20:45-08.00 covering weekends and bank holiday. You must be able to commit to a rotating shift pattern.
