Job Description:
As a Senior Project Manager within the NATO JEWCS IPT you will be leading a technically complex major project to success utilising strong internal and external Customer facing skills.
You will cover all aspects of Project Management including, Stakeholder Management, Lifecycle Management, Team Leadership, all aspects of the Monthly Project Review cycle, Risk Management and Financial Management. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for Project execution and delivery, with particular emphasis on achieving Customer commitments. Cross project, IPT and Product alignment and Dependency Management are key.
1. Have overall ownership and management of the project
2. Be responsible for Schedule, Cost and Quality adherence
3. Undertake dependency identification and Management
4. Be responsible for Project Risk and Opportunity Management
5. Manage complex internal and external Stakeholders / Customers
6. Lead internal reporting to IPT Lead and present project summary status at Sector project reviews
7. Ensure adherence to Company’s Lifecycle Management (LCM), as appropriate and tailored to suit
8. Liaise with Engineering and Production Managers as required
9. Liaise with Functional Groups to ensure projects are appropriately resourced to achieve successful execution
10. Have accountability for Contract and Project delivery
11. Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplined teams in a matrix environment
12. Demonstrated experience with complex projects in a military environment
13. Demonstrated ability to operate with multiple senior Stakeholders
14. Demonstrated strong Customer relationship skills
15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
16. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project planning, scheduling, work package management, sub-contract management and cost control
17. Degree qualified or equivalent, ideally in a business or engineering related discipline.
18. Meet the requirements for registration as a full member of the Association of Project Managers (APM).
