Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant that is passionate about supporting children with additional needs. The Grange School in Manchester is looking for a dedicated professional to join our supportive and dynamic team.\n\nAbout Us: The Supply Register is partnered with The Prospere Trust schools to have a bank of experienced staff for long term and permanant roles across their schools.\n\nThis role is at The Grange School where they specialise in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment tailored to meet the needs of children with special educational requirements with the mission is to empower every student to grow, learn, and thrive both academically and socially.\n\nThe Role: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant for the ret of the academic year to work closely with children who have autism, low or non-verbal communication abilities. You will play a vital role in providing individualised support, enabling students to overcome challenges, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide individual and group support for students with autism and communication challenges, including those who are low or non-verbal.\n\nUse effective behavior management techniques to create a positive and safe learning environment.\n\nImplement strategies that enhance communication, such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).\n\nCollaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to develop personalised support plans tailored to each student’s needs.\n\nAssist with the preparation of engaging and meaningful activities to support students’ learning and development.\n\nMonitor and document progress, contributing to students’ overall growth and well-being.\n\nRequirements:\n\nExperience working with children with autism, low or non-verbal communication, and behavior management challenges in an SEN setting.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nA patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' needs.\n\nRelevant qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous.\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\nA welcoming and collaborative school environment.\n\nOpportunities for professional growth and specialised training.\n\nThe chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with additional needs.\n\nHow to Apply: If you are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and have the experience to make a difference, please submit your CV to \n\n*If you feel this role isnt right for you, please get in touch to hear about other positions across the Prospere Trust Schools
