* Responsible for the delivery of all core projectaccounting deliverables for a major element of the DreadnoughtProgramme whilst ensuring effective financial challenge, governanceand support to the programmeteams
Working with the DreadnoughtProject Management Organisation (PMO) lead for your area to deliverrobust forecasts into the Monthly Management Reporting (MMR)process and supporting the project teams to ensure financialcommitments are met
* Working with the Project to ensure quarterly ContractStatus Reports are produced, reflecting an accurate financialrepresentation of theprogramme.
Continuous improvement offinancial process/practices & governanceactivities Managing a team of 2 to 3Project Accountants, ensuring their continueddevelopment Providing support from afinancial perspective for contract management, negotiations, andamendments Working with the internal andexternal stakeholders including the MOD, Project and Commercialteams, Supply Chain teams and Central Finance on a regularbasis
Your skills andexperiences:
Essential:
Qualified Accountant (CIMA,ACCA, or ACA) or relevant equivalent is essential Accounting and financialmanagement experience, working in a variety of roles includingworking within a project financeenvironment Thorough knowledge of FinancialIT Systems including SAP and MS Excel
Desirable:
Good working knowledge of MOD’spolicies and procedures Understanding of business andfinancial modellingexperience Experience of influencingacross functions andhierarchies Experience within a similarDefence environment / role would be highlyadvantageous
