Join our team as a Credit Risk Analyst, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our credit risk acquisition and in-life strategy. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, commercial and trading teams, delivering data-driven insights and executing decisions within our credit risk policy. This role offers the opportunity to manage relationships with credit bureau partners and external data stakeholders, and to contribute to our cost-effective debt recovery strategy.
Key aspects of the role include:
Developing and updating credit risk scorecards in line with product and package offerings.
Building relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure a cohesive approach to risk.
Supporting the build of a wider Debt & Fraud predictive model to increase effectiveness in end-to-end strategy.
Managing a small team of credit underwriters, delivering effective decisioning on non-automated credit risk decisions.
Credit Risk Analysis:
1. Responsible for the continuous development of credit risk acquisition and in-life strategy.
2. Support commercial & trading teams by delivering data-driven guidance on the financial risk of propositions and executing commercial decisions within credit risk policy.
3. Manage credit bureau partner, ensuring new products and data opportunities are assessed and integrated subject to business value.
4. Ensure acquisition & in-life credit risk scorecards are continuously & accurately updated with changing product & package offerings, enabling detailed reporting on product/package performance.
5. Identify and develop ways the credit risk insight can support the continuous improvement of our cost-effective debt recovery strategy.
6. Manage external data stakeholders and suppliers to improve modelling capabilities and measure the performance of existing models vs expectation.
7. Provide detailed requirements into projects impacting credit risk, ensuring changes are delivered while protecting the business from financial risk.
8. Provide analysis on acquisition credit strategy & operational processes and use it to build models to improve the effectiveness of the company’s customer management processes and provide practical considered improvements.
9. Own the company’s Credit Acquisition scorecard and ensure regular assessment of predictive power and utilisation of internal & external data sources (bureau characteristics) to improve our decision and debt risk strategy.
10. Support the delivery of agreed changes to strategy, working with change teams to ensure adjustments to our strategy are fully delivered and measured.
11. Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business (Finance, Change, Trading, etc.) to ensure clarity of process, clear and tangible objectives, and a cohesive approach to risk
12. Produce and develop analysis in line with the business requirements, with regard to consumer acquisitions, debt, churn, and related operational performance.
13. Support the build of a wider Debt & Fraud predictive model to increase effectiveness in E2E strategy (including collections, DCA, Debt Sale
14. Work cooperatively with the Finance teams in regards to OPEX, Budgets, churn, and cash forecasting.
15. Provide statistical information/data to the PM teams to assess reporting and operational needs for strategic projects.
16. Support/Deliver insight to credit bureau(s).
17. Complete all work to audit level standards including process flow, procedures, and development documentation of all reports and analysis undertaken.
Credit Risk Operations:
18. Validate payment performance data & bureau submission monthly.
19. Manage a small team of credit underwriters, delivering effective decisioning on non-automated credit risk decisions.
