CPL's Health division is currently recruiting a Band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapist to work in a special school in Hampshire.
My client is a multi-professional therapy practice, providing specialist Therapy Services to children aged 0-18 years. Children present with a variety of diagnoses, including Sensory Processing Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, Speech and Language delay/disorders, attachment and trauma difficulties, global developmental delay, or neurological disorders.
They follow a 3-step approach:
1. IDENTIFY: Following a comprehensive assessment package, areas of strength and challenge for the child will be identified.
2. EDUCATE: Equipped with knowledge about the child's development, my client shares information to ensure the unique needs are fully understood and supported.
3. ACCELERATE: A designated therapist will work with the school, family, and the child to provide personal therapy, individualized goals, and specific activity programs to ensure therapy addresses their unique needs.
This post will involve direct work with children and young people with Autism and other complex needs. The purpose of the role is to support Therapists, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Physiotherapists, in the provision and further development of high-quality therapeutic work. The post holder will implement a range of therapy interventions under the guidance of the relevant therapist and will involve producing therapy resources.
