As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage electrical commissioning activities on water treatment plants and related facilities. Test and ensure the safe operation of electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation in line with industry standards. Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate electrical and control systems with mechanical, instrumentation, and civil works. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with electrical systems and control equipment during the commissioning process. Ensure all commissioning activities are documented according to company procedures and comply with UK regulations and safety standards. Prepare detailed reports on system performance and commissioning activities. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve any electrical-related concerns during commissioning. Maintain a strong focus on safety practices in line with industry best practices and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Key Requirements: Proven experience as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, ideally within the water, utilities, or industrial sectors. A relevant electrical engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent). Chartered Engineer status (Desirable but not essential). Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, PLCs, SCADA, and instrumentation used in the water industry. Experience with electrical testing and commissioning procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities. Health & Safety: Full understanding of health and safety regulations and practices, particularly in the water industry. Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays as required.
