We are delighted to be partnering with this world-leading insurance company that is seeking a Commercial Underwriter in Birmingham.
This business is enjoying tremendous growth, and as a result, is just about to move into superb new, state of the art offices in the heart of Birmingham’s insurance district.
The role is based within the New Business department, dealing with a wide variety of fascinating risks including, but not limited to Professional Management Risks, Social Welfare, Care, Not For Profit and Charity policies. Underwriters within this team tell us that the cases are extremely interesting, and no day is the same.
Specific duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Underwriting new business cases
2. Collaborating with the Claims team
3. Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and the wider business
It is not essential that you have previous experience within the above product lines as full training will be provided. However, you must have some previous insurance experience, together with well-honed interpersonal skills and the ability to forge strong relationships over the telephone.
