Are you a driven sales professional/account manager with the ability to build lasting relationships? A leading creative agency and publishing organization based in the Cambridge area, publishing market-leading magazines focusing on a range of topics, including broadcast media, video production, and media technology, is looking to recruit a Senior Sales/Account Manager to join their dynamic, friendly team. This role offers hybrid working - ideally two to three days in the office, but there is some flexibility for the right person.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will develop new business and account manage advertising sales/commercial partnerships on three of their flagship magazines and related app/online media. This role will also offer the opportunity to attend industry shows (UK and overseas) and offsite meetings to increase advertising revenue, build the brand profile, and stay ahead of industry trends to provide valuable insight to clients.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
1. Sales development of existing client base to maximize sales opportunities.
2. Utilizing the company's existing database to reach out to prospective clients to assess their potential as viable advertising partners.
3. Account manage existing client base, including responsibility for administration and day-to-day management of the advertising sales revenue.
4. Attending meetings and other events as required.
5. Working with the respective Editors, Design, and Production teams during the sales cycle.
6. Liaising with the Sales Director and Managing Director to provide updates on sales forecasts and projections.
We are looking for someone with proven sales experience, ideally from a B2B sales/account management background, but candidates from other backgrounds are welcome to apply. You will have a consultative and mature sales style with great communication and negotiating skills.
