Job Summary
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. The Associate Engineer will be part of the Engineering Team, within the Energy Systems Design and Development Directorate at Ofgem. This role will support the Engineering team by implementing and maintaining appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include supporting the Senior Engineer Project Manager through the preparation of project performance reports, presenting statistics and researching new information and delivery solutions. As part of this dynamic team you will ensure organisational tasks are carried out efficiently through managing and monitoring compliance of projects, managing professional relationships both with internal and external stakeholders. You will also manage risks and issues registers, version control of all outputs and manage and monitor audits. You will assist with planning, keeping the project calendar up-to-date, track projects, helping to improve efficiencies, maintain ePMO compliance regulations and publish monthly programme reports.

This interesting and engaging role will require experience of working within a Project Management environment, the ability to manage a range of tasks at the same time, working under pressure and making project support decisions based on a broad understanding of relevant policies or operational requirements. Possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills is also essential. The role will provide opportunities to gain further experience within a regulation and engineering environment.

Essential
* Previous experience of working within a Project Management environment (LEAD)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Must be able to deal with a range of ongoing tasks at the same time, prioritise accordingly and be able to deliver under pressure
* Must be able to work with minimum supervision and to make project support decisions based on a broad understanding of relevant policies or operational requirements
Desirable
* Experience working with regulation or engineering environment
* Willingness to learn, develop and study for Project Management/PMO qualifications
