Environmental Enforcement Officer Role Profile
Job Overview
The Environmental Protection team has some vacancies that we are recruiting to, and we are looking for team members who are passionate about our city and relish the opportunity to support our residents to live in a clean and tidy city.
Responsibilities
1. Tackle environmental offences including enforcing against littering, fly tipping and dog offences.
2. Patrol areas of the city including parks and open spaces to gather evidence of environmental offences.
3. Observe littering, fly tipping and other environmental crimes including dog control.
4. Interact directly with members of the public and take relevant enforcement action by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices.
5. Attend court and give evidence as required.
Qualifications
Officers will need to be confident in interacting with the public, have excellent communication skills, and good attention to detail to record facts accurately.
Training and Support
Appropriate training will be given for the post holder, but if you are passionate about helping keep our streets clean, then this is the job for you!
