We are recruiting for an experienced Pump Engineer / Senior Electrician. This is a full-time position that requires extensive travel throughout the UK, with potential stays abroad in the future as well. Qualifications: Relevant Electrical/Engineering apprenticeship or HNC equivalent. 18th Edition BS7671 certification. Key Responsibilities: Act as Site Supervisor for projects involving multiple engineers. Diagnose and repair electrical, pumping, and treatment faults in both commercial and domestic borehole systems, including fault-finding and rewiring. Conduct borehole pump testing, covering mechanical and electrical connections. Install borehole pumping and control systems for new domestic and commercial water supplies. Assess and order necessary parts for each job. Perform routine maintenance and testing on borehole systems, ensuring installations meet manufacturer standards. Rewire faulty electrical systems related to water pumping and treatment. Uphold high-quality workmanship that complies with company standards, private water regulations, and safety requirements. Independently identify and present faults in borehole electrical systems without direct supervision. Install electrical systems in accordance with 18th Edition wiring regulations, including borehole pump power supplies. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations and best practices through standards monitoring and record-keeping. Engage in both reactive and planned preventative maintenance. Candidate Specifications: Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with clients and the public, providing professional assessments and advice. Leadership skills are necessary to effectively train and mentor pump engineers to ensure competent installation and maintenance of electrical and pumping systems for Water well projects.
