ASSISTANT PURCHASING & GOODS INWARDS OFFICER
Hume Doors & Timber (QLD) Pty Ltd is Australia's leading Door Manufacturer and Timber Wholesaler. The company is 100% Australian owned and markets its products to the hardware, timber and building industries.
We are looking to employ an Assistant Purchasing & Goods Inwards Officer to assist our existing Purchasing team. This is a salaried position working out of our Head Office in Kingston, Logan City. This role is predominantly an Administration role, but will also require time in our Goods Inwards area. You are not required to have previous purchasing experience, however we would ideally like to employ someone with experience in Administration.
The duties of this role will include:
1. Processing of purchase orders
2. Following up suppliers for order confirmation and delivery estimations
3. Following up suppliers for backorders and overdue deliveries
4. Dealing with telephone and email enquiries
5. Reconciliation of orders with delivery dockets
6. Assisting with stock control and monthly stocktake counts
7. Assisting with Goods inwards operations including checking and marking products received as they are unloaded from delivery vehicles.
8. Processing of goods receipt into our Pronto ERP system
The successful candidate must have:
1. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and computer processing abilities
2. Excellent phone manner
3. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
4. Highly motivated and adaptable team player
5. Ability to multitask, use initiative and be flexible
6. Experience with Pronto (desirable)
