Berkshire Healthcare are seeking 2 organised and motivated candidates for Band 3 MSK Physiotherapy Assistant roles in the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Outpatient team. There are two part time posts (26 hours) based at West Berkshire Community Hospital or Wokingham Community Hospital.
Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in this role or in healthcare but this is not essential. This job would be particularly well suited to applicants with a background in sports and exercise, with experience of delivering exercise and manual therapy. We will provide in-house training to develop the necessary competencies and mentoring to upskill the successful candidate.

You will be closely supported by the team which, depending on location, is comprised of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Assistants and Administrators.
Main duties of the job
1. Assisting the physiotherapists in the delivery of individual and group exercise programmes. This may involve delivering exercise sessions, hands-on therapies such as massage and patient education. Training is provided in any of the modalities used. All patients are initially assessed by the physiotherapist.
2. Ensuring stock and equipment levels are maintained and re-ordered on a regular basis and that equipment is well maintained and clean in line with infection control guidelines.
3. Carrying own patient caseload with simple predictable conditions delegated by a therapist.
4. Assisting in the administrative duties of the physiotherapy service when required, including reception duties, data inputting, photocopying, assisting with audits and completing patient records.
