Job Overview
We are seeking a highly competent and reliable Static Electrical Engineer to join our team in Reading. As an experienced Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
About the Role
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, power, and control systems, motors, generators, and transformers, fire alarm systems, and other safety equipment.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, carry out repairs and installations of electrical components and systems, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used, and work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on electrical systems and equipment.
* Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using advanced diagnostic techniques.
* Compliance: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
* Experience: A proven track record as a maintenance electrician with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
* Certifications: A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations.
* Skill Set: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with experience with PLC systems and control systems desirable.
What We Offer:
* Competitive Salary: Up to £42,000 per year, depending on experience.
