Dieffenbacher’s Business Unit Composite is looking for motivated Hydraulic Technicians with eagerness to learn and advance their skills to support Dieffenbacher’s growth as an innovative hydraulic press and system supplier. The role has two main functions: first to work collaboratively with the Windsor plant to manufacture hydraulic presses and equipment for the North American market; second to install new equipment as well as repair and upgrade existing Dieffenbacher equipment at customer sites across North America. Job Details:
· Permanent, full time, Hourly paid position, based on 40 hour week
· Overtime to be worked as required and will be compensated

Responsibilities
1. Work under direction of Service Manager and Plant Manager
2. Manufacture new equipment at our Windsor, Ontario plant
3. Installation and commissioning of complete hydraulic press lines at customer sites
4. Provide hydraulic service and support for Dieffenbacher hydraulic presses and related equipment at customer sites across North America
5. Carry out routine preventive maintenance and test equipment
6. Provide operations and maintenance training to customers
7. Troubleshoot hydraulic equipment in fast paced production environments
8. Develop solutions on site with the support of the team in Windsor and German Headquarters
9. Supervision on site of installation and maintenance personnel provided by the customers
10. Installing and repairing pumps, valves, cylinders, etc.
Requirements
1. Hydraulic/Pneumatic Mechanic or Related Hydraulic Trade
2. Readiness for travel activity. Able to travel globally.
3. Experience in an industrial setting
4. Creative problem solving skills
5. Ability to work in a challenging and changing environment
6. Good understanding of new and old hydraulic systems
7. Initiative and leadership skills
8. Enjoy working in a team
9. Able to work under pressure and be flexible
10. Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
11. Foreign language skills are an advantage
12. Experience with heavy duty machines processing plastic materials would be beneficial
13. Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
14. Familiarity with European and North American hydraulic drawings and schematics
