The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that the company vessels assigned to their control are manned with properly qualified, experienced, and competent personnel. Ensuring that documentation and certification compliance is always maintained. The individual will manage a variety of offshore vessels managed by NMMS.
Key Responsibilities
1. Direct responsibility for all personnel related matters and queries for personnel placed on vessels under their responsibility which frequently includes liaising with spouse and/or other family members.
2. Assume overall responsibility for all personnel related matters, in the absence of the Crewing Team Leader - Offshore.
3. Support manpower requirements for assigned offshore vessels.
4. Support Crewing Team Leader - Offshore in supervising staff by offering support, guidance, and direction to personnel department and other internal parties when required.
5. Liaise with offshore operations/technical departments and, where applicable, Senior Management and/or Client regarding the assignment of personnel aboard company managed vessels.
6. Routine supervision of the external manning agents. Liaise with external manning agents on crew being assigned to the company's vessels.
7. Directly responsible for ensuring vessel compliance with respect to all employee personnel files, vessel files, and database records.
8. Manage and support company disciplinary process adherence by assisting the client in applying the policies.
9. Support offshore case management including absence, performance, and grievances.
10. Participate in company internal/external audits.
11. Participate in out-of-hours coverage where required.
12. Liaise with the training department on scheduling of training courses for personnel under their responsibility.
13. Support analytical reporting for the offshore Crewing Team.
14. Attend and input to meetings and management reporting as and when required to meet strict deadlines.
You may be asked from time to time to undertake other tasks within the NMMS function.
Candidate Requirements
1. Extensive experience working within Crewing, with a specialization/experience in Offshore manning.
2. Degree qualified in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
3. Significant experience in an offshore crewing role supporting various offshore units/DSVs/wind farm vessels in multiple jurisdictions.
4. Substantial previous experience working within a seagoing HR/Logistics team for a ship management company.
5. Approachable.
6. Positive attitude.
7. Good knowledge of flag requirements and other statutory requirements for seafarers.
8. Strong interpersonal skills.
