Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a recent graduate to join one of our client schools in Durham as a Teaching Assistant. Position Details: Start Date: ASAP Full-time role Weekly pay: £450 to £500 This is a key position that involves significant responsibility. The successful candidate will support students with additional educational needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You'll be working with small groups to assist in their learning and development, ensuring their individual needs are met. The school is in Durham (DH1). The school prioritizes helping all students make progress, regardless of their background or ability, fostering an environment where academic and personal growth are equally valued. Requirements: Recent graduate eager to begin a career in education. Must have, or be willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS on the update service (we can assist you with the application process). Able to provide at least two references from previous employers. Key Responsibilities: Assist students with their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Build strong relationships with students to support their academic and personal development. Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to pupils, teachers, and parents.
