JobSummary:
Weare seeking an experienced Assistant HRBP to work on employeerelations casemanagement.
Weneed candidates with strong ability and experience in managing allER complex casework and Change programmes such as restructures andTupe programmes and experience with unionengagement.
KeyDuties/Accountabilities
Toprovide HR support and assistance to the HR Operations team andgive advice and guidance to managers and staff. In doing so therole holder will build and develop effective working relationshipswith managers which will allow the role holder to have an impact ininfluencing and supporting managers to achieve their local and thecorporateobjectives.
In consultationwith the HRBP provide managers and staff with appropriate adviceand guidance on Council policies terms and conditions of employmentand other HR related issues in accordance with employmentlegislation.
Support coachchallenge and empower Directorate line managers in managing peopleissues (e.g. Disciplinary Grievanceetc.)
Dealing withlocal trade union (TU) representatives in relation to individualcases or local collective issues; Build and maintain relationshipswith line managers employees and TU representatives across theDirectorate(s) to ensure positive interactions and speedyresolution of any issues thatarise
Responsible forscreening all vacancies identifying potential redeploymentopportunities for employees on the redeployment register and assistin matching them to suitable alternative jobs across theCouncil.
Undertakeeffective Job Evaluations drawing on benchmarking data and ensuringa fair consistent and objectiveassessment
EssentialExperienceRequired:
Experience managingrestructures complex casework and TUPE isessential.
Experience ofdealing with customer complaint including verbal and writtenresponses isessential.
Experience ofworking in a HR department in a customer focused organisationproactively facilitating and leading change isessential.
Experience ofworking successfully with Senior Managers on complex HR issues isessential.
EssentialQualificationRequired:
CIPD qualifiedor working towards this with experience of working effectively in acomplex organisation isessential.
Additionalinformation tonote:
Working hours:37 hours perweek.
The role isHybrid. Successful candidates must be in the office every Wednesdayand be available to attend the office on an adhoc basis. They musthave flexibility to be onsite as and when required for facetofacemeetings.
