The Opportunity A fantastic opportunity has come up with a leading health-care manufacturing company within their growing finance team as a Finance Assistant The successful applicant will look after several duties: Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet reconciliations, monthly payroll, and much more Moreover, the ideal applicant will have had previous experience within a busy accounts function and hold an Accounting Technician qualification. Responsibilities Support the processing of weekly and monthly payroll. Provide payroll assistance to other group companies as needed. Oversee the monthly administration of pension schemes. Manage payroll-related journal entries and payments for other EU entities. Prepare monthly payroll for the IE branch. Bank reconciliations. Handle journal entries, including stock valuations, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliations. Balance sheet reconciliations. Manage intercompany stock at month-end. Oversee financial administration for capital projects. Completion of statistical reporting forms. Finalize month-end files to audit standards, ensuring all backup documentation is prepared. Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required. Criteria Qualified Accounting Technician or similar professional qualification recognised in Northern Ireland. Previous experience running a payroll system. Proficient in computer-based presentation tools, with expertise in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience of working in a busy accounts office environment. 5 years' experience of working in a busy accounts office environment. Experience of using SAGE. Experience in managing purchase & sales ledgers in a busy office environment. Experience of working with, and knowledge of, a computerised accounting system, financial reporting and control software.
