Job summary Old Road Medical Practice is looking to recruit a full-time, advanced nurse practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team, to help us to transform and modernise pathways of care, enabling the safe and effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries. The successful candidate may come from a range of professional backgrounds. As an experienced healthcare professional, educated to masters level, they will have developed the skills and knowledge to allow them to take on an expanded role and scope of practice caring for patients. Main duties of the job Demonstrate a high level of expertise within primary care providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers. Be practising autonomously as an advanced nurse practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate. Support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient-focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area. Have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues. About us Old Road Medical Practice is one of the largest Surgeries in Clacton, Essex. We have been providing care and support to almost 11,000 patients within the Clacton, Jaywick and St Osyth, for over 40 years now. Due to changes within modern general practice, we now require 2 new ANPs to help us move with the times, providing care in new ways, to help meet the needs of the patients, whether by phone, in person, online etc. This is an exciting time to join the practice, as we become more accessible to our patients, providing them with the care and support they need, at times to suit them.
