Main duties of the job
* Oversee departmental compliance with UKAS ISO 15189 standards and support the transition to ISO 15189: 2022.
* Develop and maintain management system procedures, supporting continuous improvements aligned with updated accreditation standards.
* Ensure all equipment documentation is up-to-date and maintained to acceptable standards.
* Report, investigate, and action errors, hazards, and incidents promptly.
* Supervise and perform complex investigations, ensuring the highest scientific standards and valid results interpretation.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
* MSc level education in a relevant subject.
Experience
* Experience with quality management systems and ISO 15189 standards.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
