Do you want to work for an award-winning company? We have recently won the Employer of the Year Award at the Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards 2024. We were also awarded with the UKs Best Workplaces 2023 by Great Places to Work UK!
We are looking for a new Service Manager for our brilliant service in Crawley, which has been purpose-built to support people to leave long-stay hospitals and start to rebuild their new lives in the community.
We are looking for someone who has robust experience in this area. You will need to have a passion for empowering people to lead an aspiring life, by using positive behaviour support and working within an integrated and multidisciplinary approach to people's wellbeing. You will need to be kind, patient, resilient, compassionate, and believe strongly in great leadership.
The role can be tough, but the rewards outweigh the challenges. Many of the individuals who live in this service have been discriminated against, faced trauma, or ended up in hospital placements as community services could not be sourced. This is a real chance to be part of our successful programme of ensuring that everyone with a learning disability, mental health issues, or autism is supported in their local communities, not in hospital settings.
You will need to be adaptable, flexible, and able to lead staff to support our people to gain back their independence through empowerment, active support, positive risk-taking, and out-of-the-box thinking.
In return for your dedicated service, you can expect a competitive rate of pay, enhanced pay when you have a baby (maternal, paternal, or adoption), Employee Assistance Programme with various aspects of free legal support and counselling, support with gaining further qualifications, career progression opportunities, financial awards for successful recruitment referrals, and most importantly, an inclusive, friendly, and supportive environment for you to grow and thrive. Active Prospects has an amazing Induction Programme which ensures that all our employees receive classroom and on-the-job training and support to prepare them within their new roles.
