Responsibilities of the Food Technology Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging and creative Food Technology lessons to students of all abilities. Encourage students to develop practical skills and a strong understanding of food preparation and nutrition. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning. Maintain a safe and organised classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events. Requirements for the Food Technology Teacher: UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent). Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level. Strong subject knowledge in food preparation, nutrition, and health. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
