Through a varied rotational programme, to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide ward based clinical pharmacy services. To deliver medicines optimisation and the safe transfers of care around medicines. To participate in weekend, on-call, Bank Holiday, early and late working in accordance with agreed rotas. To undertake a post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. To undertake necessary continuing professional development in line with General Pharmaceutical Council standards. To provide clinical pharmacy support to the inpatient and outpatient dispensaries and to undertake the role of Responsible Pharmacist when required. To participate in the provision of medicines information and advisory services to patients and their relatives, medical and nursing staff, other healthcare professionals and organisations. To provide professional supervision to pharmacy technical and support staff. To contribute to the training of trainee and undergraduate pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. To participate in clinical audit. To contribute to the practice and development of quality governance throughout the department. To undertake any identified clinical and professional training and actively participate in the staff appraisal process. To maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. To be familiar and comply with relevant operational, personnel, health and safety policies and procedures, including fire safety, infection control, COSHH, no smoking and alcohol.
