Our client is a leading food manufacturing & packaging company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for an electrical biased maintenance engineer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Carry out PPM's, breakdowns, fault finding, testing & inspection off all production & packaging machinery
* Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
* PLC - electrical fault finding
* Dealing with high-speed production lines & packaging machinery
* Working on sensors, motors, control panels, contactors, relays, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes
* Site services / facilities - water treatment plant, boilers, steam systems, BMS
* Continuous improvement project work
* Monitoring and ordering of spares & parts
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must be an electrically biased maintenance engineer
* Qualifications needed - minimum City & Guilds Electrical Installation
* Time-served Apprenticeship trained
* Ideally have 17th or 18th Edition Electrical
* Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
* Comfortable working on own when needed
* Must have worked in food manufacturing or packaging
* PLC - electrical fault finding skills
* Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding would be beneficial
* Happy working on production machinery, site services & facilities
