Senior Stress Analysis Engineer
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Proficient use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as ABAQUS
2. Conduct classical static stress and fatigue analysis
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, and Manufacturing
4. Participate in audit reviews and present information as required
5. Contribute to product validation efforts
6. Engage with external stakeholders including suppliers, customers, airframers, regulatory bodies, and industrial organizations
7. Identify analysis solutions, recommend improvements, and propose alternative methods
8. Review drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs
9. Maintain professional communication with internal and external customers and suppliers
10. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements
Requirements:
11. Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
12. Good working knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes; landing gear experience is advantageous
13. Understanding of different engineering functions
14. Proficiency in static and fatigue structural analysis methods
15. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
16. Familiarity with aerospace materials engineering properties
17. Experience working to regulatory requirements
18. Experience working in an IPT (Integrated Product Team) environment
19. Occasional travel may be required
20. Organized and able to work to strict deadlines
Advantageous Skills:
21. Working experience within various engineering functions
22. Experience with recognized FEA and fatigue software tools
Educational Skills and Experience:
23. Minimum of HNC/HND level, ideally BSc/MSc, in an engineering discipline or equivalent
