As a Support Worker, you will be supporting a 28-year-old female with a learning disability and cerebral palsy. The service user has limited communication and requires staff to support her to communicate her needs.
They require full support with eating and drinking, medication, finances. Health appointments and support into the community. The service user has her own vehicle for transport but also uses public transport.
Care Assistant, Support Worker or similar experience is desirable but not essential. We offer an excellent training and induction programme for everyone!
As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire you will become part of a fantastic team. Every day is different, but here are just some of the duties you will do:
1. Assistance with daily life tasks including personal care, medication and mealtimes.
2. Escort and assist in and around the service, at external events and appointments.
3. Supporting our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
4. Maintain up to date and accurate records.
