Saw Operators required at a location in Avonmouth, BS11
1. £26,461.50 per annum
2. Working hours – 37.5 hours per week
3. Monday – Friday 6am-2pm week 1
4. Monday – Wednesday 2pm-12pm, Thursdays 2pm-11.30pm week 2 – Fridays off!
5. Salary breakdown is £12.77 per hour basic plus £15 per day shift premium for afternoon shift

About the role
16. Program saw for cutting operation.
17. Operating metal saw and tyro to cut material to customer requirements
18. Checks length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting
19. Verifies parts are within customer required tolerances after cutting, using tape, micrometer, and caliper instruments
20. Marks each part with hard stamp, grain flow, USD, lot number
21. Ensures all cut material is on a fit for purpose pallet or skids for safe packaging
22. Performs daily maintenance checks to metal saw
23. Operates fork trucks and jib cranes when required
24. Ensure productivity sheets are completed each day
25. Performs daily housekeeping including the surrounding work area and metal saw.
The right candidate
26. Experience operating machinery and metal processing
27. Knowledge of a production facility and manufacturing processes
28. Comfortable with manual lifting up to 20kgs
29. Able to communicate with individuals at all levels
30. Basic mathematical skills
