Randstad Construction & Property is working on behalf of a National Facilities Management company to find an experienced and collaborative Fabric Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance across commercial sites.
Location: Edinburgh (mobile)
Salary: Competitive (up to £30,000 depending on experience)
Employment type: Full-time, permanent, Monday-Friday

An average day will include the following:
1. Respond to reactive works within the team
2. Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
3. Liaise with Clients' representatives regarding maintenance & repair tasks
4. Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
5. Repairs to floor and wall coverings
6. Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements
7. Responsible for other building and installation works as required
8. Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, filter changes AHUs/FCUs and basic plumbing requirements
9. Complete reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner
10. Undertake minor projects works
An ideal candidate will have:
1. Previous Fabric, Carpentry experience
2. Experience of working in a high-profile work environment
3. City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry
4. PC literate
5. Good customer relationship skills
6. Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions/processes
7. Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks and determine material requirements
8. Experience of H&S procedures & requirements: COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment etc.
