This position is part of the Research & Development team, based in St Neots WHAT TO EXPECT Working full-time from our St Neots facility the Main function of the Product Process Engineer is the development of manufacturing equipment for connectors used in hydraulic and fluid transfer applications. This includes designing and analysing new or improved processes while collaborating with global teams to control and revise manufacturing standards. Key responsibilities: Design and optimise manufacturing processes for improved manufacturability and cost. Plan, organise, and execute projects with global teams to implement optimisation proposals. Perform analysis using mathematical and empirical data, create execution schedules, and ensure appropriate business cases. Monitor prototype manufacturing, coordinate validation testing, and conduct forensic analysis of samples. Write technical documentation and global standards. Support the commercial organisation to meet high-value customer needs. Apply core engineering and Six Sigma skills, such as problem-solving, SPC, FMEA, DOE, etc. ABOUT YOU Required Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. 5-7 years of engineering experience in product development. Willingness to travel 10-20%. Required Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to product development. Experience with CAD software, particularly PTC Creo. Familiarity with hydraulic hose fittings, UQD & UDQB components, and their manufacturing processes. Proficiency in applying Six Sigma techniques such as SPC, FMEA, and DOE. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional, global teams and manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use mathematical and empirical data effectively.
