We are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to support in a SEN Secondary School based in Milton Keynes starting in November 2024. Please see details below
This is a successful 117 place special school, which opened in 2012. It has a main site, which caters for 9-16 year olds and an associated independent sixth form provision for 16-19 year olds.
Job Duties:
- Supporting class Senior LSA's and Teachers with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students.
- Providing 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
- Work closely with class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach
- To enable students to learn by; understanding their learning goals and targets; enable them to practice and learn new skills and challenge them to be as independent as possible
- To be involved in the provision of all aspects of support necessary that will ensure the students wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning.
- To understand and fully implement Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting would be ideal but not necessary. This role comes with additional responsibilities to that of a Teaching Assistant's.

- Initiative to take proactive actions
- Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently
- Prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
