We are currently looking for an experienced Ports Labour Manager to work on a corporate account based in Sheerness docks. This a very busy team working on a high volume contract. You will have a proven track record in the bluecollar Ports/civils sector .
The role of the Ports Labour Manager is to supply, coordinate and manage ports operatives to optimise contract profitability through the provision of the required labour resources for project execution and safe and effective management, delivering to time and to the satisfaction of our client.
Key responsibilities:
Labour Management
Partner with the client to ensure the right quantity, quality and skills mix of operatives are provided within agreed time lines;
Manage the transfer of labour between projects, locally and nationally;
Visit each customer project / location in accordance with your teams servicing plan;
Deliver or collect PPE / tools / equipment when necessary;
Review worker performance weekly and take necessary action regarding client and operative;
