Ocean Housing is currently recruiting for a Part time Environmental Maintenance Operative for 16 hours per week (Mon & Tue) Environmental Maintenance Operatives work either alone or as part of a team undertaking the duties on our housing estates and in residential properties, their responsibilities include: To undertake the duties including dusting, wiping, sweeping, vacuuming, washing, mopping, polishing of walls, floors, windows and doors within blocks of flats and communal indoor areas To sweep external communal areas and remove weeds, rubbish and litter from paved areas and rubbish and litter from garden areas within blocks of flats and, where instructed, individual properties To undertake void property clearances, including all rooms, loft spaces, gardens, sheds, where instructed To check the operation of communal lighting and change bulbs as required, reporting any other failures, including broken fittings, defective lighting and door entry systems for further attention To ensure that the estate cleaning rota and specification is complied with in full Qualifications and Experience Educated to NVQ Level 1 or equivalent. Educated to Functional skills level 1 or equivalent in Maths and English.
