We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed person for this varied and interesting role to assist the Senior Groundsperson in helping the council to achieve its goals for the community. The successful candidate will interact with the public, carry out grass-cutting, litter picking and general maintenance activities throughout the community and on the council's assets and buildings. Some occasion weekend working is a requirement, the successful candidate will be responsible for occasional setup and removal of play equipment for parties on Saturdays and/or Sundays at Bryncae Community Centre when required.

ESSENTIAL: Ability to deal with the public in a professional manner/Ability to manage multiple tasks and your own time in order to work safely to meet deadlines/The ability to problem-solve and to recommend solutions for challenges that arise/A full UK driving licence/The role involves manual work in an outdoor environment, including tasks such as lifting, carrying and working on uneven ground in various weather conditions. The successful candidate will need to be capable of performing these duties safely and effectively, with or without reasonable adjustments.
DESIRABLE: Experience in operating mowers and strimmers and other garden machinery/Experience in working in an outdoor environment
